LONDON AND SCOTLAND ITINERARY

How to Combine Two UK Favorites

London and Scotland work naturally together when the itinerary uses direct rail or a well-timed flight and gives Scotland enough nights to be more than a rushed day trip.

SEVEN NIGHTS

Spend four nights in London and three nights in Edinburgh. This is the cleanest short itinerary and works especially well for first-time visitors who prefer cities, history and rail travel.

TEN NIGHTS

Spend four nights in London, three nights in Edinburgh and two or three nights in one additional Scottish area. Choose the Highlands, St Andrews, Glasgow or another base according to the traveler’s interests.

FOURTEEN NIGHTS

Combine London with Edinburgh and a deeper Scotland route. With enough time, travelers can add the Highlands, the Isle of Skye, whisky regions or a slower stay in more than one Scottish base.

TRAIN OR FLIGHT?

The direct train between London and Edinburgh travels city center to city center and avoids airport procedures. A flight can make sense when connecting directly to or from an international journey, but the total door-to-door time should be compared.

HOW MUCH OF SCOTLAND CAN YOU INCLUDE?

Edinburgh alone needs at least two full days for most first-time visitors. The Highlands and Isle of Skye require additional nights and careful routing. Trying to add them to a short London-and-Edinburgh week usually creates too much driving.

PLAN A CONNECTED JOURNEY

We will coordinate the London hotel, rail or flight, Scotland routing and touring as one complete vacation.
